Melissa García Aguirre (1987, Monterrey, Mexico). Visual artist and geoscientist interested in interspecies and intermaterial affective relationships. Her work focuses on the creation of bridging knowledge between natural sciences, artistic practices and collaborative processes. She has developed projects and presented exhibitions in countries such as Venezuela, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, United States, Italy, Cyprus, Spain, France and Czech Republic. She is co-director of the film documentary “Migratory Geologies” (2021), author of the essay “Talk all you want” (2019), among other collaborative publications. She is currently studying the tonalities and variations of the howl of the Mexican gray wolf in collaboration with shelters for the preservation of the species within the non-profit organization “La sociedad de los lobos”, she is part of “GeoLatinas. International Network for the Empowerment and Outreach of Latinas in the Planetary Sciences” and runs Kosmos Studio, a space for arts, science, love and beauty.
